STYLING: A mature approach for a very pink room

The same client who we did the Italian living and dining was thrilled with our presentation that she wanted her daughter’s room also to be styled. She wanted it to be a surprise. But she thinks the look wouldn’t fit her daughter’s age.

She already got the curtains up and the bed in and the paint was almost done. The room was very pink.

It might be perfect for a little girl who prefers ponies and dolls and ballet, but it would be a little too pink for a 21 year old gal.

No worries. We got the right thing for it.

We were thinking of adding black elements in the room to tone down the pinkness but not too much black, it might end up looking like a rock n’ roll chick room.

We still want the room to have this sweet aura so we’re using floral patterned fabrics.
we would love it to look like this but since the walls are all sooo pink, we'll try our best..

Hope the daughter would love her room. And have this happy surprise and not a horrified one. Hihi.

Stay tuned for the reveal. ^_^

DESIGNER TO THE RESCUE: Modern Italian living and dining (THE PRESENTATION)

We came in the project with an almost finish site. See here. And asking them to redo everything would be a nightmare. Good thing the walls were painted in neutral color. But still there were blank spaces that needed to be given life.

We wanted the look of the interior reflect the design of their house which seems to be modern Italian.
An L-shaped sofa will be place in the living room with two accent chairs on the side.

To give the area a focal point we wanted to bring in texture by using wallpaper and framed mirror in trellis style.

 EID
something like that on the wall..

The client wanted a mini bar somewhere in the living area. We opted for a white glossy piece for the bar to give it an elegant look.
something like this but a little bit chic-er and less retro.. TL

There is an awkward space in the living room but we thought it would be nice for an intimate area, perfect for intimate small talk and a little reading, placed beside a volume window.
this image is too glam, but it has the idea.. PH

For the dining, the client wanted to place a buffet table beside the wall but since the space is too small to accommodate a buffet table we placed a full framed mirror and some ledge and fames for accent.
again too glam.. but something like this.. SB
We're so excited to finish this project!

Can’t wait for the reveal! ^_^

DESIGNER TO THE RESCUE: Modern Italian living and dining

The client didn’t know that interior design services is available here in Daet. So when she visited At home, a furniture store where Design STreet team hangs out, she was delighted. The client said she was at lost in the stage where her house is now. She got lots of ideas but it seems she’s mixing everything up. And that’s where we came into the scene. She was thrilled to get it started. And so were we. ^__^

The site is on its finishing stage when we got there.

The walls were already painted.

And lights were already installed.
But we were given the freedom to change it if we think it won’t suit the design.
She is half hearted if she would replace her old furniture, so we asked if we could see them.
Since the house’s exterior design was that of a semi-Italian style we told her that we could use some of her old stuff. Such as this coffee table set.
And these dining chairs.

We can’t wait to get this done! Yay!
